Does anyone have experience with software to create your own ringtone? As from your own mp3's or cd collection. I have audacity but haven't figured it out. Suggestions welcome; thanks!

well, you don't need software.

iver get a mobile with composer on it or get one where you can go online and download ringtones to your phone

Thank you, I have a phone where I can download them. So far they are $3 a pop. I'll have to scope this out further. I have plenty of fun possibilities in my own collection...smile!

It's easy to create your own ringtones as long as you have a way to send them to your phone once you're done. I edit my own with Sound Forge and then send them to my phone via Bluetooth.

that's what I do too. use sound forge and then send them to my phone via USB. it works great and I can have whatever part of the song I want as a ringtone.

I'm slowly figuring out the audacity program. Sheesh, it's a challenge! However, they do have a link for blind users. Is there a trial version of sound forge? It looks expensive. smile!

I supppose you could get a good audio converter, convert the song you want to use for a ringtone, then do what you want with it and trancefer it via bluetooth, inferread or usb, what ever your phone supports.
